Stimulus Payment Schedule for Tax Returns Processed by the IRS by April 15
Economic stimulus payments are being issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number.  Taxpayers who use direct deposit were among the first to receive their payments which were transmitted from April 28 to May 16.   Paper checks began going into the mail the week of May 16 and should be completed by the week of July 11.  People who file their tax return after April 15 will receive their economic stimulus payment, but probably later than these dates shown.  A tax return must be filed by October 15, 2008 in order to receive a stimulus payment this year.
