About Us Tom Parfitt is a 1975 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Accounting.  Tom became a CPA in May of 1976 after getting the necessary 2 years experience and passing the CPA exam.  In 1979 he opened an office at 210 West Second Street in Waverly, Ohio.  Tom opened his Athens office in 1982 on Richland Ave.  In December 2004 Tom and his Athens staff moved into their new offices at 82 Columbus Road in Athens.  Tom is registered with the Accountancy Board State of Ohio, and a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Parfitt, CPA in 1984 after several years in the banking industry.  His primary responsibilities include financial statement preparation and federal and state tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorship, trusts, estates, and tax exempt entities. Parfitt, CPA in 1984.  His job responsibilities include financial statement preparation, income tax returns, including federal and state for all entity types, payroll tax preparation and various other tasks to serve our clients. Parfitt, CPA in 1996.  As a staff accountant James prepares financial statements, payroll taxes, and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and non-profit organizations.  James also maintains the firm's website and computer systems, including hardware and software upgrades and backups. Parfitt, CPA in 1998.  As Payroll Specialist and Office Manager, her duties include preparing payrolls for over 40 businesses, payroll taxes, processing tax returns and tax mailings for a wide range of local and regional businesses.  She works to ensure total satisfaction and to build good relationships with new and existing clients through her knowledge and professionalism. Parfitt, CPA in May 2007.  She is a 2004 graduate of Hocking College with an Associates Degree in Accounting and is a Notary Public.  Her several years of prior work included five years as an Office Manager, giving her experience in many areas.  As an Accounting Clerk her job duties include payroll, bookkeeping and various other tasks.  Valarie endeavors to offer total satisfaction and to build good relationships with new and existing clients. Parfitt, CPA in December 2007.  As an Accounting Clerk her various job duties consist of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, payroll, processing payroll taxes, and various other tasks.  Jessica strives to give our clients quality service through her professionalism, knowledge, and expertise.
